The Upper Saco Valley Land Trust received a generous donation of land, permanently protecting 245.6 acres of unimproved working forest in Eaton, N.H. Protection of the property will protect its long term ability to produce forest products as well as provide important wildlife habitat.
Protection of the property also enhances the existing scenic, recreational and ecological resources of the Land Trust’s 99 acre Foss Mountain property and 122 acre Jenkins conservation easement as well as the 341 acre property owned by the Town of Eaton, which includes the rocky summit of Foss Mountain.
