A conservation easement on the 15.5 acre Deans property in South Conway protects over 200 feet of shoreline on Red Lodge Cove on Conway Lake and over 400 feet of road frontage on scenic Potter Road. The Deans easement protects its productive agricultural and forest land and is adjacent to the Land Trust's Cobbs, C. Thorne and Sandy Beach Trust easements. To date, the Land Trust has permanently protected over 2,000 acres and over 4 miles of scenic road frontage in the South Conway neighborhood.

"Because of previous easements given by our neighbors to the Upper Saco Valley Land Trust, we could complete the protection of Red Lodge Cove on Conway Lake from development. And, together with the Land Trust's Sandy Beach Trust easement, we could conserve forest lands along our Laughing Brook."
