A conservation easement donated to the Upper Saco Valley Land Trust on this 13.42 acre property permanently protects 220 feet
of undeveloped, natural sand beach on Conway Lake as well as views of nearly 850 feet of natural, undeveloped landscape on
Potter Road, which is designated by the Town of Conway as a scenic road.
The easement is consistent with New Hampshire RSA Chapter 483-B, The Comprehensive Shoreline Protection Act, which states: "The shore lands of the state are among its most valuable and fragile natural resources and their protection is essential to maintain the integrity of public waters." And with the open space conservation goals of the Master Plan of the Town of Conway, which states: "As so much of Conway's character, quality of life and economic base is associated with the abundance and accessibility of environmental features, it is important that the town encourage the permanent protection of environmentally significant lands." |
