(This land is open to Jackson Ski Touring Foundation members and ticketholders during the ski season and to the general public at other times of the year.)

The old Pinkham Farm in Jackson was permanently preserved in late 2014 thanks to a unique partnership whereby the land was transferred to Jackson Ski Touring Foundation with an easement held by the Upper Saco Valley Land Trust to ensure permanent protection of open space and habitat land.

Much of the land comprising the former Pinkham Farm (1790) was reassembled over a 40-year period by the landowner who donated the conservation easement to the Land Trust immediately prior to transferring the property to the Jackson Ski Touring Foundation.  The property, at 62 acres, boasts many recreational amenities, as well as excellent wildlife habitat.  Sited at the junction of Valley Cross Road and Black Mountain Road, the property’s rolling terrain includes the Wave, the John, and the Henry ski trails and afford stunning views of Mount Washington to the northwest.  The property also includes over 500 feet of frontage on the Wildcat River, as well as over six acres of wetlands and three small headwater streams and associated riparian habitat.

“We are touched by this incredibly generous donation, and the actions of all involved who made this transaction possible.  We are honored to become the stewards of this very special part of Jackson.  This land will provide amazing recreational opportunities for generations to come.”

–Kevin Killourie, President of Jackson Ski Touring Foundation
