Rare Species Hike

Join Dr. Rick Van de Poll for an advanced hike up the south ridge of Thorn Mountain to discover rare plants, uncommon minerals, unique pollinators, and old growth forests. This area is part of USVLT's Dundee Community Forest project. Although the terrain is rugged, the views and unique biota are worth the effort! Starting on a trail, we will then head off-trail which will bring us along the ridge to some of the seldom-visited sites. Bring ample water, bug repellent, and a snack for our rest stop at our destination view of the Presidential Range!

Space is limited; reservations required. Please email info@usvlt.org to register.
