The Attitash Grand Summit Hotel is located slopeside at the Attitash ski area; it is also close to Bear Notch Ski Touring and limitless snowshoeing. Hiking and exploring Crawford Notch just to the north is readily available for the remaining three seasons. Hikes to Arethusa falls, Nancy Brook or to Sawyer Pond are all great for short family trips or moderate to difficult days out on extended itineraries. This is an excellent facility for corporate groups, wedding parties or other convention groups.
Café Noche is our first restaurant to work with Contribute To Place™. Serving creations inspired by owner Tom Kugel’s many adventures to Mexico, you can find a wide selection of great tequilas and hot sauces. The festive atmosphere is an ideal stop for the winter skier, on their way to local lodging or vacation homes. Summer customers come from all walks of life but its central location is great for climbers, hikers and mountain bikers just getting off the trail.
Ragged Mountain Equipment has been manufacturing clothing since 1978. They support many local programs like the Polar Express with product. Ragged will have small donations on their branded clothing, which customers can opt out of if they wish. If you need a XC or back country ski wax or mount this is the place to head. Some local climbing guide services can also be reached through Ragged.
The Mount Washington Valley Ski Touring Center located at Ragged Mountain Equipment participates in Contribute to Place. In the past, ski/snowshoe trails have been cut on the Osgood property, which is one of the Upper Saco Valley Land Trust’s easements. The touring associations trails encompass many private landowner’s properties. The views are fabulous from the Saco River flood plain and the trails are in close proximity to several Contribute To Place™ businesses and North Conway.

The Jackson Historical Society was formed in April of 1977 by a group of townspeople whose interest was to preserve the history of Jackson. The Society records information about the past and present of Jackson for its future. Its bylaws state: “The object of this Society shall be to engender interest in the history of the Jackson area by the collection, display and care of articles of historic and educational interest, to accept such materials by gift, loan, purchase or all other appropriate means and to act as a body for dissemination of information thereof.”
