The Upper Saco Valley Land Trust is a registered 501(c) (3) tax-exempt, nonprofit corporation. The organization files IRS Form 990 annually to provide the public with financial information about its nonprofit organization. Further, Audited Financial Statements are provided every year. Links to these documents are below. Note that the Audited Financial Statements include monies raised for operations as well as for special land projects and acquisitions. While our annual operating budget is approximately $280,000, for any given land project we may budget many times more than that amount. These restricted project funds must be reported on our balance sheet, but they do not support the organization in its day-to-day operations.  Please also note that the Balance Sheets show the value of our land holdings, which, per donor restrictions, we are not legally permitted to ever sell.
