Pine Hill Community Forest Project

The Upper Saco Valley Land Trust is proud to announce its newest land protection project: The Pine Hill Community Forest Project. In partnership with Tin Mountain Conservation Center, USVLT plans to purchase the 436-acre Pine Hill parcel in Conway and the 93-acre Bald Hill parcel in Albany.  These parcels will be permanently protected from development and managed as working forests. USVLT will own the Pine Hill parcel “in fee.”  Tin Mountain will own the Bald Hill parcel, subject to a conservation easement held by USVLT.

When it comes to the future management of the 436-acre Pine Hill property, the Upper Saco Valley Land Trust wants your input.  To hear from interested community members, we held a Community Forum on Thursday, April 13th.  If you missed the forum, you can still let us know your thoughts by emailing [email protected] or calling 603-356-9683 – and thanks!

Do you want to learn more about these parcels, or see more maps?  Please see our details page AND join us at one of the following events:

Tin Mountain’s EcoForum: the Pine Hill Community Forest and Bald Hill Road Property

Thursday, July 13th 12pm at TMCC’s Nature Learning Center

Easement Exploration Series: Pine Hill Walkabout

With committed pledges from NH’s Land and Community Heritage Investment Program (LCHIP) and private foundations, we are delighted to announce that we have already raised more than 75% of the total project budget. However, we need your help to get across the finish line. Please consider donating generously to protect these open space gems now.  No gift is too small (or too big!).
