Emerald Ash Borer: Pretty, but Majorly Disturbing

The Emerald Ash Borer is in Maine. Parts of Oxford County, Cumberland County, York County, and Aroostook County have had quarantines and restrictions on moving ash since 2018 and are still working to understand the spread and how to manage this invasive insect. Join Jan Santerre, Program Director for Project Canopy (Urban and Community Forestry) and Colleen Teerling, Forest Entomologist, to learn more about EAB. They’ll share current regulations and quarantines; plus options for Ash waste and best management practices for handling Ash trees; monitoring methods; management options; and resources for landowners and stewards.

This webinar is co-sponsored by Greater Lovell Land Trust, Loon Echo Land Trust, Lakes Environmental Association, Western Foothills Land Trust, and Upper Saco Valley Land Trust
