Drawing/Sketching Workshop at the Ham House


Jackson, NH - Upper Saco Valley Land Trust is excited to offer a drawing/sketching workshop led by June McCleavey, retired Bartlett Art Teacher in the Dundee Community Forest for a collaboration with the Jackson Historical Society on Saturday, September 16 from 9:00AM - 12:00PM.

The workshop will focus on investigating the intersection between the natural world, local history, and the built environment in creative ways. The workshop will involve creating simple sketchbooks and learning about a variety of mark-making techniques and using an assortment of art mediums. The workshop will also cover a brief history of the Ham house and its relationship to the surrounding natural environment, as well as an opportunity to wander the beautiful forest. Sketchbooks will be used to record observations and explorations throughout, no previous drawing skills are necessary. Art supplies will be provided.
