Nature Sketching at the Ham House

Join us for a nature sketching workshop led by June McCleavey, retired Josiah Bartlett Elementary School Art Teacher, on Saturday, September 16 from 9AM - Noon. We'll gather at the Ham House, situated in the Dundee Community Forest.

The workshop will focus on investigating the intersection between the natural world, local history, and the built environment in creative ways. You'll learn a variety of techniques with an assortment of mediums to record observations and explorations. No previous drawing skills are necessary. The workshop will also cover a brief history of the Ham House and its relationship to the surrounding natural environment, as well as an opportunity to wander the beautiful forest.

  • Free and open to the public
  • Space is limited and advanced registration is required. Register online.
  • Art supplies are provided
  • A $10 donation is encouraged, but not required, to cover the cost of materials.
