Kezar Pond Ecological Exploration with Tin Mountain Conservation Center
Meet at Hemlock Bridge on Frog Alley Farm Road, Fryeburg
USVLT and Tin Mountain Conservation Center are teaming up to host an early summer exploration of Kezar Pond with Dr. Rick Van de Poll. Kezar Pond is an oligotrophic glacial lake right off the Old Saco River course. Rick will provide an in-depth look at flatwater, river and pond ecology, water quality parameters, aquatic vegetation, and bog moat dynamics. Bring a snack, water, and layers. This inclusive program will provide all the information necessary for monitoring small water bodies.
