USVLT Speaking about Land Conservation in Fryeburg

At the invitation of the newly re-formed Fryeburg Conservation Committee, the Upper Saco Valley Land Trust (USVLT) will be sharing information about land conservation Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the American Legion Hall in Fryeburg. Erika Rowland, USVLT's Conservation Lands Manager, will provide a brief history of private-land conservation, describing the basics of conserving land and how it is already contributing to resource protection in and around Fryeburg.

The presentation is a follow-up to an event held late last year, when the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife spoke with Fryeburg residents about the town’s significant natural resources, as captured in the Maine’s Beginning with Habitat maps.

Join the Fryeburg Conservation Committee to learn more about one way that private and public landowners can help sustain the character of the area by conserving its natural features, wildlife habitats, prime farmland soils, productive forests, and historical landscapes.

When and Where:  American Legion Hall on Bradley Street, Fryeburg, ME, Tuesday 6:30 pm, May 7th, 2019. The event is free and open to the public.
