MWVEG Annual Gathering
Farmers, local food advocates and eaters are invited to attend the 3rd annual gathering of the Mount Washington Valley Eaters and Growers. MWVEG is a grower-organized not for profit working to provide a voice for farmers on farm-related topics. Their mission is to strengthen the regional food system through communication, collaboration, and cooperation among our farms and our community. In addition to a locally sourced meal, we will have a keynote presentation by regional sustainable agriculture expert, Dr. Rebecca Sideman, from the University of New Hampshire. Becky will share stories and insight from her travels studying agriculture abroad, including Spain, France, Guadeloupe, and Quebec. Becky was raised on a diversified vegetable farm in Vermont, and will discuss how international agriculture techniques are applicable here.
The meal will highlight many of the products we grow in the Mount Washington Valley and Lakes Region, including overwintered spinach salad, farmer choice soup, and cornbread. Join us!
You must RSVP by March 16th. Please RSVP online at https://bit.ly/2SYdJc3 or with Olivia Saunders at 603-447-3834.
