Considering Climate Change in Land Conservation Workshop Part I


What does climate change mean for land conservation in the MWV? Please join the Upper Saco Valley Land Trust (USVLT) and Tin Mountain Conservation Center (TMCC) in a two-part event beginning Thursday, May 31st at 7pm at TMCC’s Learning Center in Albany. Erika Rowland, the Conservation Lands Manager at USVLT, will introduce Open Space Institute’s Resilient Landscapes Initiative, and also discuss how to manage land into the future given the implications of a changing climate. Dan Stepanauskas, a consulting forester and Board Member of USVLT, will share his on-the-ground experience of climate change’s influence on forest management and his work with the Forest Stewards Guild.
