Land Trust Alliance: supporting land trusts nationwide. USVLT has adopted the Land Trust Alliance’s Standards & Practices and was accredited by LTA in 2015.
The Nature Conservancy: National organization with chapters in both ME & NH

Access Fund: the national advocacy organization that keeps U.S. climbing areas open and conserves the climbing environment.

Each land trust project brings a diverse array of potential funders to the table – from federal programs to local charitable foundations. USVLT has received consistent support from these governmental programs:
NRCS, and specifically the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP-ALE), and the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP)
New Hampshire’s Land and Community Heritage Investment Program, or LCHIP and the state’s “Moose Plate” program
Land for Maine’s Future Program and Maine’s Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife
We receive support from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation (and many of their donor-advised funds), and we hold our stewardship endowment assets at the Maine Community Foundation
