Dickinson Family Easements

Conservation Easement

December 27, 2007

The Dickinson easements permanently protect over 700 acres and more than two miles of road frontage on Gulf Road, Baird Hill Road, Greeley Road and Leavitt Road in South Conway. All of these roads are designated as “scenic roads” by the Town of Conway under New Hampshire RSA 231:157.
In addition to protecting the properties' scenic values, the easements safeguard forest resources and significant wildlife habitat. In combination with other nearby easements that have been donated over the years, more than 1,750 acres in South Conway are now permanently protected by USVLT.  Large, intact habitat blocks like these are important for wide-ranging species and ecological processes.

“The Upper Saco Valley Land Trust has been great to work with and made the conservation easement donation process understandable and simple. I highly recommend the organization to other landowners who are interested in protecting their land as well.”
